Not sure how to go about debugging this one as it's another randomly occurring bug. Sometimes users will also appear online aswell when they shouldn't be.

Didn't work. Reworked the login flow in 6be9ee8b82. We'll see if that fixes it.

seems to be fixed now on the production server, been online for about an hour or so, closing now, will reopen if it comes up again
