![Project Rebound Logo](https://cdn.alanmoon.net/rebound/PRLogo_Black.png) # Rebound is a Classic Pogo Server Emulator meant to run the older Flash/Java Applets to some degree. # Why Does This Exist Unfortunately the classic servers for Pogo.com were shutdown a long time ago, and with it went over 150+ legacy games. This exists to get those games working to some degree. # `client-props.jsp` Every game had a unique `def.properties` file requested from `client-props.jsp` (e.g `http://game3.pogo.com/util/client-props.jsp?file=gf2/bowling/def.properties`) This file was gzipped compressed and is **REQUIRED** for the game to boot, it is compressed either by the server or it's just stored that way on the servers file system. Unfortunately, zero responses were archived by archive.org. We only have the complete file for one game (**Lottso! Express** which already has an HD version) If you've played on Pogo during the Java/Flash era, your java deployment cache may just have some of the property files we're looking for. Here's how you can find them: 1. Boot Up The Computer With Internet UNPLUGGED Or WiFi Disabled 2. Go To The Folder Containing The Java Deployment Cache (on Vista and up, that would be `C:\Users\Username\AppData\LocalLow\Sun\Java\cache`, on XP it would be `C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Application Data\Sun\Java\Deployment\cache\`) 3. If there are any files here, you probably have something we don't have, join our [Discord](https://discord.gg/k8GV7SDavy) and either throw the entire cache [here](https://ptb.discord.com/channels/1549543068141748254/1549878256474525838) or just the files that you deem are probably important to the search. 4. More than likely, the emulator won't support the game we found the file for immediately. Each game also had it's own server side logic, wait for an update [here](https://ptb.discord.com/channels/1549543068141748254/1549878421222334575)! # Supported Games * Perfect Pair Solitaire (Boots, Works, Incomplete Props) * Lottso! Express (Boots, Works, Complete Props Found) * Pogo Bowl (Boots, Partially Works, Incomplete Props) * Boardwalk Seaball (Boots, Partially Works, Incomplete Props) * Lottso! Deluxe (Downloadable Game, Partially Works (Singleplayer Only)) # How To Use To play a game, use the `play-game` endpoint. Here's an example: ```http://localhost:8080/play-game?game=waterwheel&appletClass=com.pogo.game.client2.waterwheel.WaterwheelApplet&site=pogo&locale=en_US&scrn=Steviewonder322``` In order for assets to be fetched by the games (including the jars themselves), you need to use a specific folder structure where the server executable lives. You can find said structure in the `Example Folder Structure` directory. # What Works * Game Initialization * MoTD ("Welcome to Pogo!" server message) * Jackpot Spin Win Condition # What Doesn't Work * Pogo Minis * Any Tabletop Games (Monopoly, Battleship, Checkers, etc.)
